Information :: Why Choose Poppy & Sage Photography for Your Wedding?

This has to be one of the most important questions you can answer when potential clients ask, “Why you? We have several options in front of us so what separates you from the pack?”*

  • We stop and listen; that is, we care (Em looks after the emotional side and Pete creates and keeps all the lists). We provide a service - not a commodity. We are there for you every step of the way.

  • We edit true-to-colour; timeless > trendy

  • We offer two unique personalities and experienced perspectives (last time we checked, we had around 50, 000 images in our Lightroom catalogue accumulated from over the past couple of years alone - we should probably clean it up a bit! The main point is this: that is our culled work so what we have actually taken is significantly greater)

  • Over the course of the day and between the two of us, we cover both traditional and edgy bases

  • Even if you hate the camera, we aim to capture images you will want to look back on

  • We are not pushy, and we do not play games; we treat you the way we would want to be treated

  • We regularly put our work out there for the photography equivalent of peer review; we have a long list of recent features

*We are yet to be asked this question btw. Most couples look at the 000s of images available between our website and social media before reaching out so have a fair idea of what we offer as a business. However, it is still a valid question and one we thought we would answer for the sake of it. :)

Word for 2021: “Intentional”

We made it through 2020!

Happy new year!

In order to gain clarity about the coming year, we like to set goals. Naturally, they get bigger each year.

In order to provide focus for the coming year, we like to pinpoint a single word. The word for 2021 is “intentional”.

intentional

/ɪnˈtɛnʃ(ə)n(ə)l/

adjective

  1. done on purpose; deliberate.

Not busy. Not stressed. Not over-worked. Not booked to capacity.

Intentional.

We are learning from the lessons 2020 taught us.

We want to continue to build on our intentional relationships with our valued clients and valued vendor friends.

In addition, our little one starts prep next year. Each day of this year is a gift in a way. We are enjoying these last days full of investment and memories before the next leg of the adventure with Chloe begins.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe and productive* and successful** 2021.

*Productivity looks different for everyone.

**Success looks different for everyone.
