Pete & Em :: Checking In

They tell us it is a good idea to keep the people behind the brand to the forefront. With this in mind, we thought that it is about time we checked in.

In short, it has been an exciting start to 2020 for us.

We have captured this beautiful wedding with more to be released in due course:

We have had the following features released during January & February with another one (exclusive content) lined up for release next month:

We have shot two new editorial shoots so far. One celebrates one year since a shoot we did at Fort Lytton. We teamed up with our friends at Emunah Events again and created some magic with a fun team of vendors. We are looking forward to sharing it soon! The other one, alongside an epic team of vendors including lovely Magnolia Studios, was a niche project; we’re pretty tight-lipped about that one and will share as soon as possible! <3

We have been working hard.

We have been chasing dreams.

We have been creating beautiful memories with outstanding vendors, clients & friends.

Wedding: E+A <3 (Maleny Manor)

Euan & Asha - what a joy to capture these two! <3

This collection of images from Euan & Asha’s day covers from preparation (2 pm) to departure (10 pm). It showcases our work both outdoors and indoors. You will find candid, posed, and everything in between. It was so lovely to work with E&A. Here is the team of vendors who made everything possible:

This wedding one was special as I (Em) also shot their Brisbane Registry Office ceremony.

Below are our favourite shots from the day. Enjoy!

Engagement :: M&AM <3

Michael & Anne-Maree. These two. Such a breath of fresh air. Michael & Anne-Maree were effortless. They were lost in each other and made each other laugh the whole time.

Real.

Raw.

Authentic.

Beautiful. Really excited for their up-coming wedding. <3

Engagement :: E&A <3

Eli & Alana. <3

We are looking forward to this wedding for a couple of reasons. 1) Eli & Alana are really sweet. 2) We get to work with Emunah Events. 3) It will be during one of the best months of the year to get married in Brisbane: April.

The engagement session took place at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. Such a beautiful spot to go for a wander and chase the afternoon light! Enjoy!

Romantic. Bohemian. Festival. Wedding inspiration.

This was always going to be a fun shoot! We needed the right team to nail the brief; we are proud to say that the team over-delivered. Marisha, from Magnolia Studios, was outstanding - from concept to planning to styling to everything involved in a shoot of this magnitude (furthermore, it was Marisha’s encouragement that resulted in a couple of features; subsequent acceptance into Polka Dot Bride & The Wedding Playbook). Carmen, from stunning Riverwood Weddings, could not have been more supportive of our specific needs for this shoot. Carmen was amazing all the way from planning to making sure everyone was comfortable & settled on the day. Stephanie, from Scenic Rim Wedding Hire, is one of the loveliest vendors to work alongside - as well as providing beautiful hire items & refreshing drinks. The shoot would not have been the same without the impressive tent from Glamping Hire Co - nothing was too hard for the team. Maria, from Mary Poppies Floral Studio, created memorable & unique floral arrangements. Ashleigh, from Wish Boutique Stationery, created the dreamiest suite. Katrina, from Cake House by Katrina Allen, made all our cake dreams come true with her delightful & whimsical twist on the brief. Temptation Platters compiled a grazing table that was fresh and full of inviting colours - also, it blew us away. Oscar & Ivy provided a beautiful gown - effortlessly stunning. Vanessa’s denim jacket (from Azul Denim) complemented Oscar & Ivy’s gown perfectly & brought festival vibes to the party. Nicola, from Goddess Makeup Design, embraced warm caramel and coral; the look she created for Freya was nothing short of perfection. Roxy, from Roxy Hotten Celebrant, not only knocked the being the (mock for the purposes of this shoot) celebrant part out of the park but she put her hand up to submit this shoot on behalf of the team. This is Eden Jewellery deserves a special mention. This is Eden Jewellery is a "non-profit anti-trafficking organisation restoring freedom for all held captive in the darkness of Asia's trafficking hubs". Such a wonderful cause that makes it an easy organisation to get behind. This is Eden Jewellery reported back after the images were released to say that they "showed the Eden women who made the wedding jewellery, and they were so excited to see their jewellery in such a stunning wedding". Ali, from Crystal Dreamz, made the bespoke process an absolute dream: her crystal crown & crystal boutonniere could not have been more perfect. My Jewellery Shop provided an elegant engagement + wedding ring set for Freya and a wedding band for Nick. Heirloom Bride assembled a made-you-look-twice flat-lay - an art in itself. Freya & Nick were delightful and effortless to work with; we recommend both of them!

We hope that you enjoy! Thank you again to each and every team member who made this shoot possible, including our wonderful models, Nick & Freya:

Clarification: we thought that Freya wearing the hair bands was a nod to two things: 1) the laid-back festival vibes of this shoot and 2) symbolic of letting her hair down by the time the reception rolled around. <3
